Anna Mwitwa obtained her Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) from the University of Zambia in 2003. In 2010, she obtained a Master’s Degree in Law with particular emphasis on International law from the University of Cape Town. In 2005 she obtained her Legal Practitioners Qualifying Examinations Certificate from Zambia Institute of Advanced Legal Education (ZIALE).

Since her admission to the Zambian bar, she attended the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (London) in Conjunction with Zambia Centre for Dispute Resolution and Zambia Association of Arbitrators and also attended SIDA’s International Training Programme ITP Diploma in Land Administration. Further, she attained a Contract Compliance and Performance Monitoring for Public – Private Partnerships. She has also undergone training at the Zambia Institute of Diplomacy and International Studies (ZDIS) where she obtained a Certificate on Diplomatic Practice Protocal & Public Relations. In 2013 she obtained a Certificate in Public Private Partnership from Public Private Partnership in the Development in Infrastructure Projects in Singapore.

She has extensive legal experience. She has worked for the Government of Zambia in several different capacities for over 12 years. She was the principal legal officer for the ministry of lands in 2010. In 2011she was the registrar for the lands tribunal. In 2012 she was appointed Permanent Secretary.

A significant portion of her practice centers on dispute resolution in matters ranging from Company Law, Labour Law, Employment law, Contract law, Commercial law, and other areas of the Law.  She is also excellent at matters dealing with Conveyancing and also drafts and negotiates contracts on behalf of clients and prepares legal opinions on various aspects of the law.
